The present research work is a project management plan of implementation of bookstore chain, which will be carried out by a book publishing house for the school stage. The development is based on a Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) (Project Management Institute [PMI®] 2017) and the Schmidt model (2003) for the business case. The research work is distributed as follows, begins with a theoretical framework, the presentation of the organization, the current situation of the issue in the country, interest groups, organizational problems, the business case where they were used as indicators of financial profitability. The internal rate of return (IRR) and the current net value (NPV), the benefits (net and intangible) were also analyzed; development of the project management plan, and culminates with conclusions being the main one that the project is economically viable and, in turn, brings value to the organization, one of the pending recommendations is to consider the business case as the base document for develop the project The project has a budget of S / 400,000 and a period of six months of life cycle. The business case determines that the project is viable; If it is shown that this meets the benefits of the organization in Peru, it will serve as the basis for the rest of the headquarters of the publishing house to implement a chain of libraries because the research work will become an asset of the organization processes.
