Nowadays, globalization and advances in technology have allowed a greater reach of multimedia content. Consumers now have various streaming services at their disposal where they can see what they want, at any time and place and at a reasonable price. For this reason, they no longer depend only on the open signal, pay TV or purchase of content on DVD or Blu-ray to access series or movies. Therefore, the present research seeks to determine if streaming is a determining factor and if it has caused a variation in the way to millennials in Lima Moderna have access to series and films. For the elaboration of this research, information related to streaming and the different ways of accessing multimedia content were investigated. Likewise, a quantitative analysis was carried out by conducting surveys to millennials in Lima Moderna who access series and/or movies through streaming in order to know consumption frequencies and also various factors that are considered when the millennials access to multimedia material. Statistical procedures were performed to analyze the results obtained. Finally, it was concluded that, although streaming has been a determining factor for the changes in the ways of watching series and / or movies, millennials continue to consider the traditional ways of accessing multimedia content.
