The present investigation was carried out on the 28 de Julio Avenue and the Ancash shred. The primary purpose was to carry out the design of the structural pavement based on AASHTO 93 to improve vehicular and pedestrian circulation. The elaboration of this project, designing both the pavement and the pavement guided by the Highway Manual: Soils Geology, Geotechnics and Pavements, the National Building Regulations: CE.010 Urban Pavements Standard and GH.020 Standard Components to design urban roads. From the soil studies, it was determined a coarse gram material, sand with fines, silty sand with gravel in all the pits made and a CBR of 19.41%. With the vehicular quantification, the ESAL was determined, being 498,891.60 for the asphalt pavement and 570,849.90 for the concrete pavement. The results achieved for the asphalt pavement concerning the structural design are, the subbase of 10.00cm, the base of 20.00cm, the asphalt layer of 6.50cm, with a cost of S/ 3,735,382.64. The rigid pavement is made up of a 20cm layer of concrete, f'c= 280 Kg/cm2 and a 15.00cm subbase with a value of S/ 4,332,149.38. Therefore, the use of rigid pavement is proposed due to its resistance and durability characteristics compared to flexible pavement.
