Objective: To determine the association between the type of clinical treatment and the quality of life of patients with prostate cancer treated at the José Cayetano Heredia Hospital, 2020. Methodology: Analytical, non-experimental, cross-sectional study. Patients with prostate cancer undergoing clinical treatment were studied, and sociodemographic, clinical, treatment and quality of life characteristics were measured. Quality of life was measured using the CAVIPRES-30 questionnaire, which has 5 domains. Results: 146 participants were included, whose mean age was 75.7 years, most of them from urban areas. 66.4% received hormone therapy alone, 20.6% hormone therapy plus radiotherapy and 10.3% hormone therapy plus chemotherapy. The level of quality of life in all patients was fair to very poor. Having comorbidities, the initial PSA level and the highest level on the ECOG scale were found to be associated with quality of life. No association was found between types of clinical treatment and CAVIPRES dimension scores. Conclusion: No significant difference was found between types of clinical treatment and CAVIPRES dimension scores in prostate cancer patients.
