This research pursued the objective of improving the writing skills of narrative journalism in university students, who show serious deficiencies when writing a journalistic event with the tools of literature. The research is quasi-experimental whose sample universe consisted of 15 students from the course of Introduction to Journalism of the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Private University Antenor Orrego. But improve writing skills, first a pretest test was applied. The results confirmed the problematic reality described in the part of the project. A program was then developed and implemented. Finally, a postest test was taken to measure the effectiveness of educational strategy. Positive results were obtained. That is to say, the writing skills of narrative journalism improved significantly in students. The proposal will be a useful tool to improve the teaching and learning of journalism courses
