Demonstrate if obesity is associated condition to pelvic organs prolapse in patients atending at Militar Central Hospital. Methods: Was conduced an analitic, observational, retrospective, case and controls investigation. The study population was conformed for 129 patients inclusion and exclusion criteries distributed in 2 groups: with or without pelvic organs prolapse . Results: Frequency of obesity in the group with and without pelvic organs prolapse were 33% and 14% respectively. Odds ratio of obesity related to pelvic organs prolapse has 2.97 (p<0.05) and this was statistical significance. Conclusions: Obesity is a risk factor asociated to pelvic organs prolapse in women older than 45 years.
