To demonstrate that decreased platelet distribution amplitude is a prognostic factor for peritoneal metastasis with exposed serosa in patients with advanced gastric cancer in IREN. Material and methods: An analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out in which 100 patients diagnosed with gastric cancer were included, according to selection criteria which were divided according to the presence or absence of peritoneal metastases, the chi was calculated square and the odds ratio statistician. Results: The frequency of anemia, anisocytosis, and elevated neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio were significantly higher in the peritoneal metastatic gastric cancer group than in the non-metastatic group (p<0.05); the frequency of decreased platelet distribution amplitude in patients with advanced gastric cancer and peritoneal metastasis with exposed serosa was 95%; the frequency of decreased platelet distribution amplitude in patients with advanced gastric cancer without peritoneal metastasis with exposed serosa was 79%; is the amplitude of decreased platelet distribution prognostic factor of peritoneal metastasis with exposed serosa in patients with advanced gastric cancer with an odds ratio of 4.97 which was significant (p<0.05); In multivariate analysis, anemia, anisocytosis, elevated neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, and decreased platelet distribution amplitude are recognized as prognostic factors for peritoneal metastasis with exposed serosa in patients with advanced gastric cancer. Conclusion: Decreased platelet distribution amplitude is a prognostic factor for peritoneal metastasis with exposed serosa in patients with advanced gastric cancer in IREN.
