To determine the occupational factors associated with the health related quality of life in doctors of the Level II and III Hospitals of Chimbote, during the period between September and November 2021. MATERIAL AND METHODS: An observational, analytical study of cross section in the 3 most important Hospital centers of Chimbote Hospital EsSalud III, Hospital Regional Eleazar Guzman Barron and Hospital La Caleta during the period September and November 2021, where 198 doctors, both general and specialists, participated. RESULTS: Compassion Fatigue significantly influenced the Physical component of Health-Related Quality of Life. Simple regression analysis showed that Compassion for satisfaction was significantly associated with the mental component of Health-Related Quality of Life. The employment situation influenced the mental component of Health-Related Quality of Life. The rest of the sociodemographic, organizational and labor variables were not significantly related to the Health-Related Quality of Life. CONCLUSIONS: Compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction, and employment status were associated with Health-Related Quality of Life.
