To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about Body Mechanics and musculoskeletal disorders in nurses at the Surgical Center of the Luis Nicasio Sáenz Hospital Complex, 2021. Method: Non-experimental, correlational, descriptive and cross-sectional design study. The population that participated in the study were 30 nursing graduates from the Surgical Center. The knowledge variable was measured through the questionnaire and the Musculoskeletal Disorders variable was identified with the Kuorinka Nordic Standardized Musculoskeletal Disorders Detection Questionnaire. The correlation of variables was obtained with the Spearman correlation coefficient at 95% statistical confidence (p<0.05). Results: 70% have a regular level of knowledge about body mechanics, 60% of nurses have pain or discomfort in the neck, 57% in the lower back, and 50% in wrists and hands. A moderate, negative and inversely proportional correlation (r = -0.358*, p<0.05) can be evidenced between the level of knowledge and the musculoskeletal disorder in wrists and hands (it is in the range between 0.3 and 0.6), being statistically significant. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between knowledge and musculoskeletal disorder at the level of the wrists and hands in nurses of the Surgical Center
