The objective of this work is to characterize the industrial effluents of a Industrial Fishing Company, of direct human consumption (CHD), located in the department of Piura, district of Sechura, during the period 2014-2016, determine the degree of current legal compliance of the authorized discharge; and evaluate the efficiency of the industrial wastewater treatment plant (PTARI). The Fishing Establishment Industrial remitted effluent monitoring reports to the Autoridad Nacional del Agua (ANA), this information was processed and analyzed. The degree of compliance with the maximum permissible limits (LMP) of the parameters oils and fats (AyG), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), total suspended solids (SST), hydrogen potential (pH), and thermotolerant coliforms established in the Supreme Decree N° 010-2008-PRODUCE, mandatory compliance rule according to the authorization of the company granted by the ANA; and according to The R.M. N° 178- 2014-MINAM, draft Supreme Decree as environmental regulations in the Fisheries Industry. The analysis of the information concluded that the Company complied with all LMP set out in D.S. N° 010-2008-PRODUCE, where the AyG and pH parameters were 100 per cent compliant and SST 78 per cent. With respect to R.M. N° 178-2014-MINAM, the AyG and pH parameters were 100 per cent compliant, DBO5 22 per cent, 34 per cent SST and thermotolerant coliforms 50 per cent. With respect to the removal efficiency of the four pollutants analysed, the AyG parameter showed an average of 86.68 percent removal efficiency, DBO5 a 97.28 percent, followed by 98.10 percent SST and 86.18 percent coliform thermotolerant from 2014 to 2015
