Tratado de Libre Comercio Perú con Estados Unidos de América y su impacto en la exportación de arándanos, periodo 2018 – 2022

Abstract

Las exportaciones de arándanos peruanos hacia Estados Unidos entre 2018 y 2022 experimentaron una disminución significativa del 81.30% en términos de valor FOB. El peso neto de las exportaciones también cayó considerablemente, de 39,654,340.89 kg en 2018 a 11,537,103.33 kg en 2022, representando una variación negativa del 70.91% en el volumen exportado. La oferta exportable a Estados Unidos en este periodo mostró una tendencia negativa, con una disminución del 75.59% en los valores FOB, pasando de aproximadamente 281.29 millones de dólares en 2018 a 52.61 millones de dólares en 2022. Además, durante el periodo 2018-2022, las uvas frescas y los arándanos fueron los productos con mayor valor FOB, representando el 37.40% y 28.41% respectivamente del total de exportaciones agropecuarias no tradicionales de Perú hacia Estados Unidos. Conclusión: El Tratado de Libre Comercio con Estados Unidos tuvo un impacto positivo inicial en la exportación. Sin embargo, entre 2018 y 2022 mostró una disminución del 81.30%.

Exports of Peruvian blueberries to the United States between 2018 and 2022 experienced a significant decrease of 81.30% in terms of FOB value. The net weight of exports also fell considerably, from 39,654,340.89 kg in 2018 to 11,537,103.33 kg in 2022, representing a negative variation of 70.91% in the volume exported. The exportable supply to the United States in this period showed a negative trend, with a decrease of 75.59% in FOB values, going from approximately 281.29 million dollars in 2018 to 52.61 million dollars in 2022. Furthermore, during the period 2018-2022, fresh grapes and blueberries were the products with the highest FOB value, representing 37.40% and 28.41% respectively of the total non-traditional agricultural exports from Peru to the United States. Conclusion: The Free Trade Agreement with the United States had an initial positive impact on exports. However, between 2018 and 2022 it showed a decrease of 81. 30%.
