In this paper, the impact of early childhood development on the labor market during adulthood is analyzed. Specifically, we want to find out whether interventions in a child's early health, cognitive, and socio-emotional development have positive long-term effects on income and employability when the individual is an adult. Economic and psychological theory indicate that interventions in early childhood are necessary since it is the most important stage in human development. Different studies that analyze this long-term relationship are analyzed and it is found that the significant results indicate that interventions in early childhood still have an effect on variables such as income and employability. However, these results are conditioned to different factors in which the studies have been carried out, but they conclude that these interventions are advantageous on average. Regarding the impact evaluation models used by these studies, it was found that the most common were randomized control trials and empirical models using large-scale data. Finally, long-term effects should be studied better by taking advantage of previous studies, since the focus is mostly on the short and medium-term effects on the individual's education.
