The purpose of this research is to propose a solution to improve the Certification service line for schools of the Instituto Superior Tecnológico San Agustin, also known as ISAT, through the redesign of processes. First, an evaluation of the current internal and external situation of the institute was carried out, to later analyze its processes and indicators. As a result of this analysis, it was determined that the problem is the excessive time of service of Certification to schools and using the Problem Tree Diagram it was determined that the root cause is that the process of Certification to schools is inadequate. Subsequently, the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) was used to analyze the process and according to this, propose and determine a technically and economically viable solution. After that, the proposal of implementation of the solution was validated from an economic, financial and social point of view. Finally, the objective of improving the Certification service line to schools of the Instituto Superior Tecnológico San Agustin was achieved through a process redesign proposal, with a reduction in service time from 26 to 11 hours and a reduction in the time of value-added activities from 22 to 10 hours. The investment of the proposed solution is estimated at S/ 41 643,13. An analysis of the profitability of the project was also made, the resulting NPV being S/ 44 329,05, the IRR 59,65%, and the benefit/cost ratio of 2,06.
