The objective of this study is to analyze the comparison of the level of knowledge between 5th and 6th grade of primary school about solid waste management in two educational institutions in the city of Iquitos, taking into account the importance of teachers and students working together to understand and implement activities that cooperate in the practice of work to preserve the environment; Therefore, it will be very useful to evaluate among students from the public and private sectors about the level of knowledge of solid waste. The research that has been carried out is quantitative and has an experimental design. The study involved 102 students from both institutions who are currently in 5th and 6th grade, carried out with a sample of 84 students. The survey was used as the main technique and the questionnaire as an instrument, consolidation tables were used to analyze the tests of the independent samples; in which parametric T-Student tests and non-parametric Mann Whitney U tests are shown, since they are ordinal type variables. As a result, 59.68% of the pre-test was obtained in the public educational institution between 5th and 6th grade, in the post-test 90.58% was obtained, reflecting an increase of 30.9% in the knowledge of fifth-grade students. and sixth grade of primary school. While in the private educational institution 56.71% of the pre-test was obtained between 5th and 6th grade and in the post-test 88.65% was obtained; this reflects the 31.94% increase in the knowledge levels of fifth and sixth grade students. That is, it was shown that the training has significantly influenced the level of knowledge of the students of both institutions. Then, it is concluded that the comparison of the level of knowledge between 5th and 6th grade in two educational institutions regarding solid waste management was effective and efficient.
