The present research work entitled “Influence of climate change on agriculture in three communities of the upper basin of the Itaya River“ Loreto, Peru year 2021“, aimed to determine the influence of climate change on agricultural activity in the communities of the upper basin of the Itaya River, as well as the power to identify the main phenomena of climate change that have occurred in the Itaya river basin and its impact on agricultural activity. The work was carried out in the communities of Luz de Oriente, Melitón Carbajal and 28 de Enero located in the Itaya river basin. The work sample was 42 people; whose main activity is agriculture. The methodology used was the investigation of a longitudinal and explanatory descriptive type, since it allowed us to respond to how climate change influences traditional agriculture in the three communities of the Itaya River. The research design was non-experimental, since the recorded data did not obey any manipulation of the variables raised. As important results, it can be mentioned that climate changes do affect their crops, representing 86.37% of those surveyed and that only 16.33% do not affect them. In the same way, regarding the degree of impact of climate change on their agricultural activity, 09 of them (21.33%) mention that the impact is high; 31 farmers (74.00%) that the impact is medium; and 02 farmers (4.67%) the impact is low. Finally, regarding the activities they carry out to minimize climate change, 31 farmers (73.81%) carry out composting; 09 farmers (21.43%) the three “R”; 01 farmer (2.38%) avoids burning garbage; and 01 farmer (2.38%) reforests.
