Aplicación de la metodología PCI en la evaluación del estado del pavimento flexible en el jr. Jiménez Pimentel de la ciudad de Tarapoto, provincia y departamento de San Martín

Abstract

En la tesis “APLICACIÓN DE LA METODOLOGÍA PCI EN LA EVALUACIÓN DEL ESTADO DEL PAVIMENTO FLEXIBLE EN EL JR. JÍMENEZ PIMENTEL DE LA CIUDAD DE TARAPOTO, PROVINCIA Y DEPARTAMENTO DE SAN MARTÍN” tiene como objetivo principal realizar la evaluación superficial del pavimento flexible del Jr. Jiménez Pimentel desde la cuadra 01 hasta la cuadra 14 aplicando el método (PCI), con el fin de conocer la condición del pavimento flexible existente. El trabajo de campo consistió en recorrer la vía e identificar las fallas, su grado de severidad y extensión, lo cual se registraba en el formato para recolección de datos. Concluida la inspección de la vía, se procedió al trabajo de gabinete para determinar el Índice de PCI de cada sección de pavimento. Se determinó que el 100 por ciento de la avenida no ha sido evaluado; por lo tanto, con la aplicación de la metodología PCI, identificando los parámetros de evaluación, determinando el índice de condición y obteniendo la condición del pavimento, finalmente se puede realizar la evaluación superficial del pavimento para obtener el estado de conservación de las vías arteriales en estudio. Por último, el índice de PCI de la vía fue de 70.21, el cual se determinó promediando el PCI de todas las secciones del pavimento, con lo que se concluye que el pavimento de la vía se encuentra en un estado de conservación Bueno y Regular.

In the thesis “APPLICATION OF THE PCI METHODOLOGY IN THE EVALUATION OF THE STATE OF THE FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT IN THE JR. JÍMENEZ PIMENTEL OF THE CITY OF TARAPOTO, PROVINCE AND DEPARTMENT OF SAN MARTÍN” has as main objective to carry out the superficial evaluation of the flexible pavement of Jr. Jiménez Pimentel from block 01 to block 14 applying the method (PCI), in order to know the condition of the existing flexible pavement. The field work consisted of traveling the road and identifying the faults, their degree of severity and extent, which was recorded in the data collection format. Once the inspection of the road was concluded, the office work was carried out to determine the PCI Index of each section of pavement. It was determined that 100 percent of the avenue has not been evaluated; Therefore, with the application of the PCI methodology, identifying the evaluation parameters, determining the condition index and obtaining the condition of the pavement, finally the surface evaluation of the pavement can be carried out to obtain the state of conservation of the arterial roads in study. Finally, the PCI index of the road was 70.21, which was determined by averaging the PCI of all sections of the pavement, thus concluding that the road pavement is in a Good and Regular state of conservation.
