The current investigation aims to determine the rate of variation trend of the beach profile near the San Marino Marina and Club project, which is generated by the processes of coastal erosion and sedimentation in two different periods. The first one, from 2016 to 2019, before the construction of the breakwater, and the second one, from 2021 to the present year; that is, after the construction of the marine structure. This study required using software such as QGIS, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Phyton, among others. On the other hand, three methods were used to determine the beach profile variation rate: the first was based on determining the rate through satellite images, the second and third belong to the most representative empirical formulations of the models for sediment transport rate, which are the CERC and Kamphuis formulations. For the comparison and validation of the project, data from the same year (2023) were used to determine how the coastline varied after the presence of the breakwaters. It was found that the average variation rate for the year 2023 was -1236.49 m3/year in the results of the satellite image method. On the other hand, an average value of -170,311.66 m3/year and -31,578.78 m3/year was obtained for the application of the CERC and Kamphuis formulations, respectively. Although the numerical results were different to each method used, the validation of the research focuses on the tendency presented by each of the methods through their results, which determines that in the year 2023 there was erosion in the study area.
