Abstract: La investigación “Maternidad y Rendimiento Académico en alumnas de Obstetricia UAC
2023” tiene como objetivo Determinar la relación de la maternidad con el rendimiento
académico en alumnas de obstetricia UAC 2023. Metodología de enfoque cuantitativo, el
estudio presenta un alcance descriptivo – correlacional, de diseño no experimental
transversal. Con una muestra de 41 estudiantes madres de la escuela profesional de
Obstetricia de la Universidad Andina del Cusco. Como resultado se obtuvo que, de las
471 alumnas matriculadas en la escuela profesional de obstetricia durante el ciclo 2023,
41 son madres representando al 9% de su población. En los resultados se determinó que
en el 51.2% la edad más predominante es de 23 a 25 años, el 51.2% son convivientes, el
53.6% indico que estudia y trabaja, el semestre con mayor porcentaje de madres fue el
décimo semestre con 17.1%, en su mayoría 90.24% reciben apoyo económico. Respecto
a las características pedagógicas 61% no percibe apoyo de sus docentes, 56.1% continúo
estudiando después de convertirse en madres, el 46.3% aplazaron sus estudios en algún
momento. Por último, se determinó una relación estadística, en base a la obtención de
notas y de los promedios realizados antes y después de que las alumnas resulten
embarazadas, con un valor de p=0. 000. Concluyendo que existe una relación significativa
alta entre la maternidad y el rendimiento académico en alumnas de obstetricia UAC 2023.
The research "Maternity and Academic Performance in UAC 2023 Midwifery Students" aims to determine the relationship between maternity and academic performance in UAC 2023 midwifery students. Methodology of quantitative approach, the study presents a descriptive - correlational scope, non-experimental cross-sectional design. With a sample of 41 student mothers of the professional school of midwifery of the Universidad Andina del Cusco. As a result, of the 471 students enrolled in the professional school of midwifery during the 2023 cycle, 41 are mothers, representing 9% of the population. In the results it was determined that 51.2% of them are between 23 and 25 years of age, 51.2% are cohabitants, 53.6% indicated that they study and work, the semester with the highest percentage of mothers was the tenth semester with 17.1%, and 90.24% of them receive economic support. Regarding pedagogical characteristics, 61% do not receive support from their teachers, 56.1% continued studying after becoming mothers, 46.3% postponed their studies at some point. Finally, a statistical relationship was determined, based on the grades and averages obtained before and after the students became pregnant, with a value of p=0.000. It was concluded that there is a high significant relationship between maternity and academic performance in obstetrics students UAC 2023.
