The present study aims to determine the relationship between Technostress and Emotional Work Exhaustion in a sample of 180 adults aged 45 to 60 years located in the Metropolitan Lima city who use digital platforms at work (99 women and 81 men). The information was collected using the instruments Inventory of Creators of Technostress (Tarafdar et al., 2007) and the Emotional Exhaustion at Work Scale (Preciado et al., 2007). The results allowed us to conclude that there is a positive and statistically significant correlation between the dimensions of Technostress (Technosoverload, Technocomplexity, Technocomplexity, Technosecurity, Technosecurity Uncertainty) and the dimensions of Emotional Work Exhaustion (Job Dissatisfaction, Job Tension, Difficulty in the relationship with colleagues, Avoidant Coping). Likewise, it is observed that women present highest average score in the dimension of Job Tension. The dimensions of Technosoverload and Technosecurity show higher scores in favor of people who work 30 hours per week and Technocomplexity in favor for those who work 40 hours per week; no statistically significant differences are observed in Technocomplexity, Technosecurity Uncertainty and the dimensions of Emotional Work Exhaustion. Finally, the dimensions of Emotional Work Exhaustion have higher scores in favor of people between 45 and 50 years old, the same as the dimensions of Technosoverload, Technosecurity and Technocomplexity, with exception of Technocomplexity and of Technosecurity Uncertainty.
