In recent years, the corporative hotel sector in Lima has been affected by the effects of the pandemic, therefore, leadership has been a fundamental part of the management of these establishments to promote their productivity. However, various factors were generated that generated job dissatisfaction in their collaborators such as low pay and continuous rotations. Therefore, one of the types of leadership considered as transactional leadership was analyzed, which is based on setting incentives for workers. The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between transactional leadership and job satisfaction in employees of corporate hotels in the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. Consequently, a questionnaire of 42 questions was carried out based on the dimensions of the variables under study. Its application was made to a sample of 375 workers from corporative hotels located in the aforementioned districts. As a result, it was obtained that transactional leadership and its dimensions corresponding to contingent reward and management by active exception have a direct relationship with job satisfaction. However, the dimension corresponding to management by passive exception does not have a direct relationship with job satisfaction. In conclusion, it is considered that those hotels that have a structure with a greater implementation of constant training for their area leaders on the dimensions of transactional leadership through talks and training manage to establish a higher satisfaction index in their collaborators.
