The research addresses the identification of critical points and environmental impacts due to home flooding of the sewerage service in the population of the city of Iquitos. The research was observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective. The study sample was the residents of the street intersections where floods or critical points occur and those who were located from information obtained by the same population and the public service provider company (SEDALORETO S.A). The analysis and interpretation of the survey results with a 5-point Likert scale was taken into account, that responses with means less than or equal to 3.5 are considered acceptable for the well-being of the population, because they do not perceive the presence of negative effects (Ho: μ ≤3.5), while responses greater than 3.5 are considered unacceptable for the well-being of the population, because they perceive the presence of negative effects (H1: μ> 3 ,5). The results allowed us to reach the conclusions: The population manifests the existence of a relationship between the operation of the sewerage service and the floods with rainwater served in the homes and streets of their surroundings; Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted, that is, the way the sewerage service works is related to critical flood points and environmental impacts. The inadequate operation of the sewerage service associated with the presence of flooding with rainwater has been producing environmental effects that harm the well-being and quality of life of the population in the city of Iquitos.
