The objective of the present investigation was to evaluate two levels of vitamin C (200 mg and 400 mg), as an additive in the feeding of female guinea pigs in the reproduction stage; measuring its results through reproductive characteristics such as fertility (F), interval between births (IEP), litter size (CT) and birth weight (PN). The facilities of a shed built in the Fundo San Miguel, owned by Mr. Salvador Torres Arbildo and Mrs. Eloysa Valera Vásquez, located in the District of Balsapuerto, province of Alto Amazonas, department of Loreto, were used. the pools for 36 female guinea pigs of all races: Peru, Andean and Inti; from first birth with an average weight of 600 to 800 g, and 9 male guinea pigs of 1000 g of the Peruvian breed; during a period of 42 weeks between the months of December 2014 and August 2015. The linear model was used using the Generalized Linear Model (GLM) procedure, which provided us with the analysis of variance (ANVA) and the significance test with the averages for least squares, adjusted according to the model used, with three treatments T0: control, T1: 200 mg of vitamin C and T2: 400 mg of vitamin C and three repetitions. The results with respect to F were 100% in all treatments. Regarding the CT, T2 obtained the highest highly significant value (p <0.01) of 2.98, with respect to T1: 2.70 and T0: 2.55 offspring / delivery respectively. In the interval between deliveries, the shortest highly significant IEP (p <0.01) of 75.15 days is achieved with T2, with respect to T0 with 81.03 days. Regarding the PN, there were highly significant statistical differences (p <0.01) among all treatments. T2 reported the highest value of 125.33g., Followed by T1: 115.48 and T0: 109.20. The inclusion of 400 mg of vitamin C, was evident when reaching greater and satisfactory answers in all the parameters evaluated.
