The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between complementary feeding practices and anemia in children from 6 to 12 months of age, Padre Cocha s IPRESS, Punchana 2019.The studier used was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, correlational design. The sample size consisted of 70 mothers with children from 6 to 12 months of age, the instruments used were a guide to observe practices whose validity was 90.56% and a registration form for anemia; the results were: 100.0% of mothers are housewives, 34.3% have incomplete primary education; 95.7% are cohabitants and 85.7% doesn t have support in child care; 77.1% have knowledge of complementary feeding; 35.7% of children are 12 months old, 32.9% are 6 to 8 months of age and 31.4% are 9 to 11 months; 72.9% receive iron nutrition supplement, 27.1% doesn t receive nutritional supplements (ferrous sulfate), 52.9% are male and 47.1% are female; and 24.3% of children do not go to their growth and development control; 72.9% of mothers have inadequate practices of complementary feeding and 27,1 % of mothers have adequate practices; 64.3% of children presented mild anemia; and 24.3% of children are healthy children. The work concludes that when performing the analysis between complementary feeding practices and anemia in children from 6 to 12 months, p = 0.000 and contingency (CC) were found, finding CC = 0.707, this result allowed accepting the research hypothesis.
