The objective of this research was to carry out a bibliometric analysis of scientific articles related to anxiety in response to the state of emergency due to COVID-19. The Scielo database was used to establish relevant and updated information about the anxiety generated by the emergency situation caused by COVID-19. As a first step, a search was carried out for the variables COVID-19 and anxiety in the Scielo database, finding a total of 17 articles, of which 9 articles related to Psychology remained, this made up the study sample. Then, the pertinent data analysis of the information obtained was performed. As a result, it is evidenced that the studies on anxiety generated by the COVID-19 virus are mainly quantitative (67%), with the rest being mixed. In addition, articles with incomplete aspects could be evidenced due to their rapid publication in the context of the emergency. Finally, it is concluded that bibliometrics is a useful tool in the field of scientific research to understand the general tendencies of how certain variables are investigated.
