This research was developed in the city of Cusco, its main objective is to define the relation that exists between the resistance to the compressive strength f'c of cylindrical specimens and the resistance to the compressive strength f'b of its respective hollow concrete block, and at the same time to define physical properties of the concrete blocks. For the study were made cylindrical specimens of measures 10cm of diameter by 20cm of height and hollow concrete blocks of measures 12x20x40 cm, with the Concrete mix design of 175 Kg/cm2 and 210 Kg/cm2 designed with de ACI method, made with Portland cement IP, fine aggregate from Cunyac and Vicho quarry and coarse aggregate from Sencca quarry; in such a way that the aggregates keep the granulometry of the NTP 400.037. On the cylindrical specimens and the hollow concrete blocks the compressive strength test was executed, where was obtained a direct relation between f'c and f'b, determining a relation factor “a” at the different analyzed ages; also were determined the physical properties of the concrete blocks, such as dimensional variation, warping, absorption and suction at the ages of 7, 14 and 28 days, where was observed that the Concrete mix design influences to the improvement of its properties. These tests were developed according to E0.70 and NTP 399.604 standards.
