The present investigation entitled. “BREASTFEEDING AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH GROWTH IN CHILDREN UNDER 1 YEAR IN THE HEALTH CENTER OF BUENA VISTA, CUSCO - 2019.“. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between breastfeeding and growth in children under 1 year of age in the Buena Vista Health Center, Cusco - 2019. The methodological design was descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational, sampling was not probabilistic with convenience. Regarding the general characteristics of mothers of children under 1 year old, it was obtained that 53.8% are between 20 and 30 years of age, 75.0% have incomes lower than 850 soles, 50.0% are housewives, 69.2% have studies secondary Regarding the general characteristics of children under 1 year old, 36.3% have 9 to 12 months of age, 55.0% are male and 63.8% had a weight of 2500 - 3000 g at birth. Regarding breastfeeding, 87.5% of mothers look healthy, 56.3% of infants look healthy, 61.5% do not have a recommended breast appearance, 62.5% of mothers do not have the recommended weight cleaning, 52.5 % of mothers have an adequate position, 73.7% have a position not recommended at the time of breastfeeding, 58.8% have a recommended breastfeeding, 51.3% have adequate suction at the time of breastfeeding, 76.2% of mothers present a Adequate link with your child, 53.7% perform recommended actions at the end of the breastfeeding session. in conclusion it was obtained that 53.7% have adequate breastfeeding, 46.3% inadequate. Regarding the growth of the child in terms of weight for height, 45.0% of the children were found to be normal, 68.8% of the children found normal height-for-age, and 88.8% had a normal weight result. for age. In conclusion we have that 67.5% have adequate growth and 32.5% inadequate. The alternative hypothesis is accepted where there is a significant degree of relationship with a p = 0.002.
