ABSTRACT This thesis work entitled PASSIVE ACOUSTIC CONDITIONING STRATEGIES APPLIED IN THE GEOMETRIC DESIGN OF THE COVERAGE OF THE NEW ARENA INDOOR DE TRUJILLO focuses mainly on how sound can affect the geometric shape of a cover, in this case a coliseum. In order to solve a given problem in the city of Trujillo, Peru with its current coliseum that does not give enough to its current population, is where this research project was born. On the other hand, as a starting point, the different variations of the sound with respect to various situations and environments were analyzed. It is necessary to find that carrying out this research plan to make a new coliseum in the city of Trujillo, with the largest dimensions where it can host a world-class event and at the same time, meet the sporting needs of the city and the environment with the relation to the sports to be practiced This solution should end the current problems by passing the coliseum "Gran Chimú" is the lack of space for all its population in major events such as the contest of sailor that takes place in the sports venue. The methodology of comparison of cases was used, to later make a list of design guidelines to translate them into the architectural project, rescuing the strengths of each project analyzed in question. This is the result of the guiding idea, having income from all parts of the land, being mostly pedestrian. In this way we decongest the existing main avenue, decongesting with alternative routes that surround the property. It is worth mentioning that the shape of the coliseum responds to the geometric design of the roof, giving rise to curved pillars that fulfill the function of support.
