The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the organizational climate and the engagement of employee from educational institutions in Southern Lima. We used a descriptive correlational design, with a sample of 78 employees of both sexes, between 20 and 70 years old, with over two years of experience, who belong to the Administrative and Teaching Departments. Moreover, we considered inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection procedure was carried out through the organizational climate scale (comprising 3 dimensions evaluated based on 10 subscales) and the engagement questionnaire (comprising 3 dimensions). The overall result points out that there is not a relationship between these two constructs. However, we found a significant relationship between the engagement dimension and the affinity, self-fulfillment, permanence/change dimensions; as well as between the determination and self-fulfillment dimensions. Furthermore, we found significant relationships between the dedication dimension and cooperation, feedback, information processing and physical condition subscales; as well as between the absorption dimension and order and influence subscales.
