The objective of this research is to calculate the compressive strength of clay bricks made with rice husks and sawdust, for lightened slabs. The methodology used is the experimental one, adding percentages of rice husks and sawdust. Likewise, soil analysis tests were carried out on clay samples to calculate their plasticity, being sample 02 the most plastic with a value of 43.44%, and sample 01 with a value of 42.13%. The bricks of this investigation obtained a good resistance to compression: sample 01 at 5% offers a maximum resistance of 72.78 kg/cm2, at 10% a maximum resistance of 89.01 kg/cm2, sample 02 at 5% obtained a maximum resistance to compression of 88.41 kg/cm2, at 10% a maximum resistance of 71.76 kg/cm2, the industrial brick obtained a maximum resistance of 60.06 kg/cm2, and finally the handcrafted brick obtained a maximum resistance of 28.11 kg/cm2. The minimum compressive strengths obtained in clay bricks with rice husks and sawdust are due to cracks and deformations in their physical structure.
