Knowledge Management in organizations and society became stronger in the process of structuring, development and implementation especially in the scientific and educational environment; the later for the efficient management talents for a knowledge society. This research aims to develop a model of Knowledge Management (KM) from the study of existing models, experiences at other countries universities and the development of intellectual capital indicators for the National University of San Martin Tarapoto to measure the variables associated with knowledge, with the aim of improving the production of scientific research UNSM-T. The study falls in the category of non-experimental research, since there will be no deliberate manipulation of variables. Phenomena are observed only in this case the variables involved in the process for further analysis. It is longitudinal trend, since it is based on the study of the evolution or change of the variables affecting the model. The Knowledge Management model will also allow demonstrating the contribution of knowledge as an intangible asset capable of generating competitive advantages for universities (organizations). Generation, encoding, distribution and use are properly managed: Likewise, the importance of knowledge-related processes is checked.
