Objective: Determine the level of Burnout Syndrome in medical staff of the MINSA II-2 Tarapoto Hospital, from July to December 2016. Material and method: it was a descriptive, prospective study. The level of Burnout Syndrome in the medium level was determined in 51.9% (n = 28) of professionals, low in 25.9% (n = 14) and high in 22.2% (n = 12). In the Emotional Exhaustion dimension, 48.2% (n = 26) had a medium level, 44.4% (n = 24) high and 7.4% (n = 4) low; the Depersonalization dimension 40.7% (n = 22) had a medium level, 38.9% (n = 21) low and 20.4% (n = 11) high and in the Personal Realization dimension 42.6% had a medium level, 40.7% (n = 22) low and 16.7% (n = 9) high. Conclusions: In the MINSA II-2 Tarapoto Hospital, more than half of the medical professionals present Burnout Syndrome in the middle level, a significant percentage refers to presenting in the middle level: feelings of being saturated and emotionally tired by work, having a cold and impersonal response to their patients and experiencing diminished feelings of competence and efficacy at work
